The Gruha Lakshmi Scheme was one of the Congress party’s major electoral planks in the 2023 assembly elections, which unseated the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) from power. However, significant delays in payment disbursement are raising concerns about its implementation and potential discontinuation. Pushpa Amarnath, vice-president of the implementation committee, has assured the beneficiaries of phased disbursements in all the districts.
