Haryana Old Age Pension Scheme
The Haryana government offers old age pensions, also called Old Age Samman Allowance (OPSA), to senior citizens aged 60 and older with an annual income of less than Rs 2 lakh. Under the scheme, seniors in the economically weaker section of society, such as labourers or daily wage earners, get monthly pensions of around Rs 3,000. Digitalisation and smartphones have made enrollment in the pension scheme effortless. The pension is credited on the first working day of every month, enabling the seniors to support their financial needs.
