Mukhyamantri Vayoshri Yojana: Aid to helps seniors buy disability equipment

The Maharashtra government launched the Mukhyamantri Vayoshri Yojana to provide financial assistance to seniors aged 65 and above with various old-age-related disabilities. Under the scheme, the government will provide Rs 3,000 annually via the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode, in which funds are deposited directly into the beneficiaries’ bank accounts to purchase support equipment for hearing loss, visual impairment, mobility issues, etc. The scheme will particularly benefit older people with such age-related challenges and limited money to buy them.
