The Rajasthan government runs the Rajasthan Social Security Pension (RAJSSP) scheme for the elderly, widows, and the specially-abled belonging to the weaker sections of society.

Beneficiaries
According to official data, it has over 9 million beneficiaries, of which around 5.90 million are senior citizens, 2.20 million are destitute women, 650,000 are specially-abled and around 230,000 are old farmers.

Regulatory
This scheme is in addition to the central aid provided under the National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP).
Eligibility
The age limit for the position is 58 years for males and 55 years for females. The annual income should be up to Rs 48,000.

Pension Amount
Seniors get up to Rs 1,000 in monthly pension once they register under the scheme.
Application Submission
The eligible individuals can submit their reports to the government, with the sub-divisional officer (SDO) in urban areas and the block development officer (BDO) in the rural areas.
Documents
The applicant must provide income proof, age proof, ID and address proof, bank account details, and a photograph along with the application.
