3 Things To Learn From Kareena Kapoor’s Retirement Planning
There are three things we can learn from her retirement planning, as well as understand the underlying factors behind her passionate attitude towards work.
Passion: She is very passionate about her work. She loves going to the movie sets, acting, and everything about it. It is because of this passion that she does not feel tired and wants to keep working until her passion fizzles out.
“That’s the person I am. So, if a day comes that I realise that I’m somehow losing that, then it’s time for retirement,” she says.
It shows that if one truly loves one’s work, one may never think of retiring soon. This is also true if one is in a profession where one has the liberty to decide on one’s retirement age. A passion for anything can keep one going at every stage of life.
Keeping Fit: As an actor, she has to stay fit. But being physically fit is not only required for actors, but for everyone else, too. Until one is physically fit and has the strength to work, one may not think of pursuing one’s passion. So, whatever profession or job one has, staying fit is something that should not be ignored. Being fit could also bring some benefits in financial terms, such as reward points in health insurance policies for not making claims, etc.
Nowadays, there are many different gadgets available along with hundreds of apps on smartphones that one could use to stay fit and healthy. While talking about health, one should also keep in mind the benefit of taking nutritious food. One may consciously decide to have healthy food to stay young and energetic for longer.
Social Connection: The third point she mentioned was on social connections. She loves going out with friends and family and also likes to travel.
Connecting with people and having them around may help one maintain a positive outlook towards life. It is this aspect where instead of counting the years backward from the typical retirement age, Kareena looks forward to the future with no plans to retire soon.
Sharing her childhood experience, she also recalls going to the set with her elder sister Karisma, which eventually led to her taking up acting as a career as she grew up.
